College Captains' Report

Following the recent COVID-19 outbreak in Victoria, we as a school have had to return to remote and flexible learning. As always, we have had a smooth transition back into the virtual space. With this lockdown forecast for five days, our classes will continue with minimal interruptions and we hope to be back onsite soon.

At the end of last term, the Year 10 students completed their first exams. This experience was very interesting for everyone, as not only were the exams a first for the Year 10s, they were a first for the school as a whole. Overall, everyone has something to take away from this amazing opportunity.

As we enter the second semester of this year, we all are faced with our Specialism selections. With many Specialism opportunities ahead, our Year 8s will be picking theirs for the first time and the Year 9s will be able to pick a VCE subject moving into Year 10. It is especially exciting for our current Year 10s who have the opportunity to select the VCE courses for next year.

As the extensions to the Learning Hub are progressing, our anticipation continues to grow. There have been plenty of decisions being made regarding many things, such as furnishing for all the spaces.

Overall, we’re excited to return to schooling after our holidays and we hope to return to onsite learning soon too.

Keep looking up and stay safe.
