Orientation Day
Orientation Day 2017
On Tuesday, 240 new Staughton students, experienced their first day of secondary school for Orientation Day. Students were able to experience a day in the life of Staughton College, including lunchtime activities.
Students participated in getting-to-know-you activities run by our amazing Wellbeing Team and join in the fun activities with the Festival of Healthy Living. They also got to meet their classmates and make new friends. The school radio, thanks to Will Cachia and the student DJs, provided lunchtime entertainment, as well as the sports equipment which was well used on the day.
Maths, English, Science, Art, and Media classes introduced students to their teachers for next year, and the Positive Behaviour Support sessions provided students with the opportunity to become familiar with our expected behaviours based around Learning, Effort, and Respect.
I would like to say thank you to Ms. Balassa, Ms. Martinuzzo, Ms. Schmetzer, and Mrs. Cachia for all their hard work in planning and organising the day, and of course to all the staff at Staughton who helped make the day successful.
