Centenary Gala - Your questions answered!
Thank you to the many people who have already purchased tickets to the Kilvington Centenary Gala. It’s shaping up to be a wonderful evening, worthy of a once in 100-year celebration.
For those with questions regarding the event, please read on.
1. What will my ticket include?
Your ticket includes:
- Pre-dinner drinks and canapes
- A delicious three-course dinner
- A generous beverage package of free-flow sparkling wine, wine and beer
- Live music from the six-piece Baker Boys Band to get the party started and help guests dance the night away
- Live entertainment by the Gatsby Dancers to show everyone how it’s done (the Charleston that is!)
- Access to the fun photo booth, raffle and lucky door prizes
- Speakeasy bar to purchase spirits or your favourite tipple
2. Do I need to join a table, or can I buy individual tickets?
Tickets can be purchased individually, or for a group of ten or twelve people per table.
As part of the booking process for individual tickets, there is a section where you can nominate anyone you would like to be seated with. Or leave it up to us and we will place you on a table with others from your cohort.
3. Do I have to dress in ‘The Roaring Twenties’ theme?
Not at all. While we’d love to see our guests get into the spirit of the theme (and there will be prizes for the best dressed guest), there is no obligation to dress up. Just come along looking snazzy and ready to kick up your heels.
4. Can I invite friends and family who don’t have students at Kilvington?
Of course, the more the merrier! We would love as many people as possible to join our Centenary celebrations.
5. What time will the Gala finish?
The Gala will finish no later than midnight.
6. Is there parking at the venue?
Merrimu Receptions has ample onsite parking accessible from both Dandenong Road and Merrimu Street.
7. I have dietary requirements. Will these be catered for?
Absolutely! You will be prompted as part of the booking process to let us know of any dietary requirements.

Thanks in advance – you’re the cat’s pyjamas.
Centennial Tree Planting
Recently, as part of 100 Days of Prep, Prep students helped to plant a tree as a tribute to the Centenary. Our Maintenance Team orchestrated this initiative, including sourcing the plant and preparing the planting site.
Thank you to both our wonderful Preppies and the exceptional Maintenance Team for this meaningful contribution. We wonder how tall the tree will be in 100 years!
