This Week’s Character Virtue:

WISDOM

Wisdom means having good judgement - knowing right from wrong - and can come from both knowledge and experience.

It is a gift of the Holy Spirit to help us make the right choices to live a good and holy life. Wisdom helps you avoid things that could lead you away from God and make you unhappy in the long run.

The Second Sunday of Advent

Yesterday was the second Sunday of Advent. Advent  is a period of spiritual preparation in which many Christians make themselves ready for the coming, or birth of the Lord, Jesus Christ

Yesterday the second purple candle was lit. It represents faith. It is called the “Bethlehem Candle” as a reminder of Mary and Joseph's journey to Bethlehem.

Next Sunday, being the third Sunday of Advent, we light the third candle. This candle is pink and symbolises joy. It is called the “Shepherd's Candle,” and is pink because rose is a liturgical colour for joy.

Pray

As we come to the end of the school year I wish to remind all families to be sure to continue to pray together as a family.

Pray for hope in the faith of God's everlasting love and grace.

Pray for peace and harmony and an end to fighting and division.

Pray for compassion so we can better understand one another.

Pray for faith, that we may never lose it during challenging situations we may be faced with.

Pray for thanks for all the beauty that surrounds us each and every day.

And always remember to pray for our Loyo Elementary children and their families. Thank you.

Kadasig Aid & Development

Here are some KAID families receiving their Christmas Hampers for the Christmas and

New Year time, packed and  distributed by the KAID staff. You too could bring joy to a

family by choosing from the suggestions on the flyer attached to this newsletter.

As we come to the end of this school year, I wish to thank everyone for your ongoing support, love and trust given to me over the year. I look forward to working closely with you and your child once again next year.

I wish you all every blessing, love, joy, peace  and happiness for the Christmas season and hope that 2023 is filled with hope, devotion and compassion.

Every blessing to you and your family,

See you in 2023!
