Polding Touch Trials

Good luck to Maddison Burgess, Sam Spencer, Jack Horwood and Max Pianko who are participating in the Polding Touch Trials on Friday in Parkes as members of the Armidale Diocesan team.

 

Diocesan Rugby Carnival & Trials

Good luck to the Open’s Rugby side who are participating in the Diocesan Rugby Carnival next Monday 4 June. Students need to be at the fields by 8:45am. It will be held at Ken Chillingworth Oval (Pirates Rugby Club, opposite Scully Park Pool), Kent Street, Tamworth. On arrival, all students need to report to Mrs Rainger to have their names marked off. Mr Rob Sides will be there to support and coach the boys on the day. There is no canteen operating. Please make sure the students bring water and sunscreen.

 

Infant’s Athletics Carnival

Due to unforeseen circumstances, there has been a change to the school calendar and the Infants Athletics Carnival will no longer be this Friday 1 June. The new date will be Friday 3 August, Week 2 Term 3. We are sorry for any inconvenience this may cause and look forward to seeing you next term.

 

Kindergarten King Fit

Kindergarten will continue their King Fit program for sport this week. Cost is $3 per child. Please send this in weekly to your child’s classroom teacher. As there is now no Athletics Carnival this term the students will continue their King Fit Program until the end of Week 6.

 

Year 3-6 Sport

Students from Year 3-6 are participating in winter sports for the first 5 weeks of term. Netball and Soccer will be at the complex, while Rugby League will be held on the school back oval.

School Sport

Winter sports will continue this week and run for the remainder of the term. Students will do one of the following sports: Netball, Soccer, Basketball, Tennis ($1.00) and Lawn Bowls.

 

NSW All Schools Rugby

Good luck to Seb Pianko who will play in the NSW All Schools Rugby trials on Sunday June 3 and Wednesday June 6.

 

Diocesan Soccer Gala Day

Well done to the boys and girls soccer teams who participated in the Diocesan Soccer day last week. Both teams had mixed success on the day with some wins, draws and losses.

 

Bill Turner Soccer

Congratulations to the boys soccer team who had a convincing 5-0 win over Guyra Central in the second round of the Bill Turner Cup competition last week. They will now play Duval High School in Round 3.

 

NSWCCC Rugby League Trials

Congratulations to Campbell Watchirs and Jake House who represented Northern Country CCC at the U15’s NSWCCC Rugby League trials last week in Sydney. Campbell was selected in the NSWCCC team and Jake was selected in the Country NSWCCC team. Campbell will now attend two weekends of training days and trial matches and a two-day camp before going to the Australian Championships in Mackay in July. Jake will attend a week long camp in Sydney in July. Well done Campbell and Jake.
