QKR! App for Online Orders

Online ordering is available to all Good Shepherd families, and is our preferred method of payment.

This app is free and easy to use and accepts all debit/credit cards.

Installation steps are as follows:

Imagination

Our OSHC service Imagination continues to grow and flourish. Families looking to utilise the service are required to register on line.  Just head to our website and follow the instructions.   http://gspv.sa.edu.au/imagination-oshc.html 

Brainways Camp

 

These students were excited to be able to attend the Brainways camp which the school nominated them for at the University of SA. 

We trust you enjoyed this special learning experience during the holidays.

Help in the Library

Wendy would welcome anyone to come past and chat about shelving books or coming in on a regular basis to cover and prepare books for processing. As our school has grown so has the number of resources purchased. Any help, especially on a regular basis would be appreciated.

Siblings for 2022

Do you have a child who will be starting Foundation in 2022?  Have you submitted an enrolment form for them?  Contact our Enrolment Officer, Pauline Gilroy (click here) if you are unsure or would like to receive a form so as to avoid an embarrassing 'surprise' when spaces become limited.

Uniform Shop

The uniform shop will be open on Friday (tomorrow) from 8.15am to 9.15am.  Beginning next week, opening times will change, but orders may still be made using the QKR! app.

The uniform shop will be open for business:

  • Tuesday:  8.00am - 10.30am
  • Wednesday:  12.30pm - 3.30pm
  • Friday:  1.00pm - 3.30pm

Canteen

The canteen will be open for business at recess and lunch on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday's, beginning from next Wednesday, 5 February.

Online Qkr! orders must be placed by 8.45am (or even the night before), with separate orders for each child. 

A canteen price list is available below (and from next week on QKR).

Library Borrowing

Students have begun browsing and borrowing. Our library houses a huge collection of books for all interests. The following outlines how many books each stage can borrow:

Finance

Term One Invoices

Invoices have been sent electronically.  If you do not receive your invoice via email, please notify the office, after checking your junk mail/spam folder first.  Payment is due by 13 February, unless you have set up an alternate arrangement for payments.

 

School LLL Banking

School banking resumes on Thursday 6 February.  To open a new student passbook account, please contact the school office.

Kiss and Drop Signs

The use of laminated car window signs are encouraged, as they assist staff in the Kiss and Drop area to ensure safe and rapid movement in the carpark.  New families to the school have been issued their sign, and are asked to display it on the dashboard, sun visor or on the windscreen when using Kiss and Drop for after-school pickups.

If you have lost/misplaced your sign, or would like another for a second vehicle, please contact the office.

My Name Labels

Parents are reminded to label all items of clothing as well as stationery supplies and food/drink containers.

Looking for a fitness group within school hours? 

This MEGA class is run by volunteers and holds sessions at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church on Wednesday's during school terms.  All welcome.

What's the Buzz

What’s the Buzz is a highly structured, role-play and play-based program that is designed to teach children how to think socially and make friendship work.

Especially beneficial for those with learning difficulties and ASD conditions and those subject to bullying. tools are provided to help respond appropriately and encourage resilience. Therefore contributing to a sociable school environment.

The program engages children and names their feelings, it encourages them to see it, taste it, smell it and laugh with each other. It connects young people and offers them the skills to belong and how to make lasting friendships.
