Melbourne Football club visits Wanganui

On Thursday 7th February, two players from Melbourne Football Club came to the school to talk to the students about life as an AFL Player. The two players were Cory Maynard and Joel Smith. Two promising young players from the Demons. The students had some great questions for the players about all aspects of being an AFL player and they had some opportunities to get some photos at the end of the session

Wanganui Park SC swimming carnival

On Monday February 18th, Wanganui Park Secondary College held their annual House Swimming Sports Carnival at Aquamoves, Shepparton. After a great day of competitive swimming and friendly competition, it was Kenny House that came out on top as the overall champions. Well done to all swimmers who participated and congratulations to Cate Eddy and the Kenny team.

13 Years Male Champion- Harrison Baker

14 Years Female Champion- Edie Kerr

16 Years Female Champion- Skye Swift

16 Years Male Champion- Aaron Rudge

17 Years Female Champion- Eliza Treacy

17 Years Male Champion- Ryley Symes

20 Years Female Champion- Jasmine Campbell

20 Years Male Champion- Jansyn O’Donoghue

The Anderson Memorial Best Performance of the day Award went to Skye Swift. Skye won all five of her events and broke the record in the 16 Years 50m Butterfly event in a time of 35.89. Congratulations to all the Age Group Champions and good luck to all swimmer moving on to the next stage.
