Primary News

Dear parents and carers,

Thank you for partnering with us during this extremely busy term.  I have been impressed with the way the students have conducted themselves.  As a Primary school this term, we have had 3 families join us and we are excited to welcome at this stage, 11 new students for the start of 2021; these enrolments have been assisted by your strong recommendations.  We now have waiting lists for a number of year levels next year.  Thank you for sharing your good news stories with those in the community.

This term, the students have enjoyed the following activities:

  • Forensic Science
  • Footsteps
  • Father’s Day Breakfast
  • Meet the Olympic athlete – Juliet Haslam
  • SACSA Soccer
  • Phil Cummings – Author Visit
  • Primary Music Night

During Term 4 as students leap into the final hurdle of the year, teachers will be strengthening the student’s skills and learning in preparation for next year.

During the first two weeks of Term 4, I will be taking some long service leave. Mrs Emma Jones will be Acting Deputy Principal.

Have a wonderful holiday break.

Enrichment Group

On Friday 18 September, the older students from the Enrichment Group visited the Museum of Discovery (MOD). They enjoyed moving through interactive spaces, as they learnt about possible trajectories for technologies, climate change and the future of work.

The younger students explored and made countless discoveries at the South Australian Museum.

SACSA Soccer

On Tuesday 15 September, the Year 5/6 Boys and Girls Soccer teams participated in a carnival at West Beach against other Christian Schools. It provided students the opportunity to showcase their skills and for some to have one of their only chances to play competitive Soccer. Throughout the day, students represented the school in a positive manner and developed strongly in their teamwork. Both teams experienced multiple wins on the day, with the boys finishing third overall in Division 2 and the girls finishing 5th overall, also in Division 2.

Well done to all the students on the day and thankyou to the staff and parent volunteers for their assistance in making the day a success.
