Principal's Report

Assessment, Reporting and Planning

Our classroom teachers are continuing to assess and plan for student learning based on task submissions and focus group work through Webex. Submitting tasks and attendance at learning sessions, wherever possible, supports student learning and also allows our teachers to determine learning needs and achievements with greater accuracy. We thank our families for their support.

Learning School Review

Last Friday saw the final component of our School Review process completed. This comprehensive process is conducted every four years and provides an opportunity to review all areas of the school, including Teaching & Learning, Student Voice & Agency, Leadership and School Community. The School Review allows us to acknowledge our achievements, identify areas for future improvement and supports us to plan our direction for the following four year cycle through the development of a school Strategic Plan.

All of our staff, a wide cross-section of students and members of our school community were involved in reflecting with the panel and providing feedback throughout the review process. This input enabled an accurate evaluation of our work over the past four years and also provided valuable insight that will support the development of our next Strategic Plan. We thank everyone for their involvement in this valuable process.

We would especially like to thank the following members of our school community for their time and input into the School Review Process:

Kylie Fawcett

Cathryn Harris

Michelle Lafranchi

Erin Brennan

Joel Hofstra

Jeremy Hancock

Amy McIntyre

Rebecca Manning

Leigh Moneghetti

Katherine van Raaphorst

Student learning goals, and areas of focus during Term Four, will also be shared .

We strongly encourage all of our families to take the opportunity to attend this conference. Bookings can be made online through www.schoolinterviews.com.au from Tuesday 1st September.

Further information in relation to the booking process will be sent home by the end of this week.

Our next whole school assembly will be Friday 4th September at 2:30 pm via Webex. All of our students and families are welcome to attend.

Enjoy the rest of the week and, hopefully, a sunny weekend!
