With the extension of Stage 4 restrictions, the Student Representative Council has been doing its best to make remote learning as much fun as possible.

The SRC worked with the VCAL cohort to run the virtual Cross Country event which was a major success.  Alongside this, we have continued to work on the creation of BSC's first ever Brunswick Show - where students from different year levels across the school are submitting their videos for us to combine into one big  virtual show!

We are so excited to be putting this all together and are looking forward to its premiere early next term.  We are sure that parents, teachers and students will enjoy watching this project.

We thank all those who have already submitted items - and if you are interested in contributing to the project , get your video in before the end of this term!

Performing Arts Representative

Year 11

I have filmed a few items for the Brunswick Show and have loved the opportunity to showcase some of the activities I have been doing during lockdown.

Producing these videos have provided a nice break from everything that is going on and was a bit of fun! I think that this is a great way to bring our school community back together in this hard time. I am very excited to see what other people have come up with and to see how other people in our community have been filling their time!

My sister and I completed a yoga challenge for the Brunswick Show.  As well as being a form of exercise, considerable laughter went into making the video.  At a time when everyone may be feeling anxious and isolated, I really hope it makes people smile!

Come on Guys!  In spite of the recent surge by Lan Se,  it is still a very close competition - any House could win the year from here!

Remember,  we can all earn House Points in Remote Learning by participating in House Kahootz (in Home Group sessions) and by demonstrating your engagement in your virtual classrooms.  Remind your teachers to award points every class!

Do you have a good idea?

The SRC is open to input from all students across all year levels, and  wants to hear your ideas for events, activities or suggestions for improvement.

Talk to your Year Level or Area Representative and ask them to put your suggestions forward at an SRC meeting.
