WESLEY MISSION FOOD FOR FAMILIES APPEAL
Well done Murrumbeena Primary School Community!
Again this year, we have all been very generous with our food donations to the Wesley Mission Food For Families Appeal.
It has been so lovely to hear students coming up to me to let me know they have donated to this great cause. The students also seem extremely proud of themselves that they have been able to help another family in need over this Christmas break.
The donation boxes will be collected at the end of this week so we still have time left to try and break our record and fill all the boxes by Friday. Let’s see if this can be our biggest year for donating!

CARE & SHARE PROGRAM
This program is designed to help out families within the school community who have been struck down with severe illness or hardship. It requires a list of volunteers the coordinator can call upon if required. When you put your name on the list of volunteers, you are asked to state what you are volunteering for e.g. cooking, baking, gardening, child minding, shopping, walking the family dog, mowing the lawn, etc. A roster is then compiled and either emailed out to you or a hard copy is given to your eldest child via the classroom.
Normally you might be required to volunteer once every two months.
Even though you might already have your name down on the current list of volunteers, you will be required to fill out another form for 2016 (attached below), as I need to update the list just in case you have left the school or changed your mind about volunteering.
If you have any questions about being a volunteer for this fantastic program, please don’t hesitate in calling Amanda Daemen on 0412 329 605.
