Together Again -

Welcome Back

2020 has certainly been a year like no other. How often do you get not one... not two... but three 'First Days of School'!

There were blue skies, bubbles, happy tunes and just a little bit of nervous excitement/apprehension on Monday as we welcomed back our Prep - Year 7 students and VCE/VCAL students. The staff all lined the drop-off zones dressed up in festive costumes - clowns, ringmasters, superheroes and fluffy onesies (complete with the mandatory masks and social distances). When we had our first 'First day of School' back in January, who would have thought Term 4 would start like this?

But God is good and although this pandemic has wreaked uncertainty and fear across much of the globe, it has also provided communities (like ours) with an increased sense of identity and value for one another. LFH and absence from being 'together' in real life has meant that our on-site connections are further appreciated - something clearly seen as students saw their friends again and settled back into class routines and activities. So many stories to tell - similar experiences but each still unique.

We hope that each child has enjoyed being back with their friends & teachers in person. We know the adjustment back to on-site learning may come with some challenges - both for students and families - but we trust that the benefits of being a part of this 'together again', will help us see some deeper purpose of the time spent 'apart together'.

We can not wait until the Year 8-10 students join us soon.

We missed you all so much!
