Deputy Principal - Student Wellbeing

Mr Greg Van Es

On Friday 30/10 we farewelled our Year 12 students with an assembly and a celebration picnic, in what has been a very difficult year, we did the best we could to thank our students before they start their final examinations.

It was a chance to thank our student leaders starting with our College Captains Aker and Tofy and acknowledging all of our Vice Captains, House Captains, and Portfolio Captains for the efforts that they made during remote learning and onsite learning for 2020.

We were also able to present those students nominated for the major Year 12 awards for 2020 and I have listed them below:

It also recognizes their generosity of spirit as evidenced by their involvement in College and House activities and their spirit of welcome and inclusion with fellow students.

The winners of these awards will be announced at our Awards Night on November 17.

We were also able to make our presentation to the Champion House of 2020:

5th Place on 282.97 points: Aquila House

4th Place on 292.95 points: Monoceros House

3rd Place on 294.05 points: Columba House

2nd Place on 296.75 points: Leonis House

Congratulations to Delphinus House and good luck to all Houses for 2021.

All the students then moved onto our soccer pitch for a picnic celebration with food provided by the VET Hospitality students. It was a great way for our students to spend a little bit of time with their friends in a safe and socially distant way.

Thank you to all the Year 12 students and staff for making our last official teaching day for Year 12 students a success. I look forward to our (virtual) Graduation on December 4 when we can celebrate the end of 2020.
