Principals Report

Every day matters

As I sat down to write this edition of the newsletter, I reflected on the term we have had so far.

A term full of activities such as the various sports events that our students have great success in, excursions they have enjoyed, celebrations such as the inaugural cultural day, RUOK day and Wear it Purple Day, course counselling and subject selections, VTAC applications and for our Year 12 students, the last lot of SACs.

Term 3 is always a very big term but a term that as a college we are very proud of.

This term our staff and students concentrated on the value of Innovation.

Innovation for us celebrates the notion that we are always looking forward to improvement. Even when things around us are going well, we look to use the resources and strategies we have already learnt and we use them in new an interesting ways to ensure that tomorrow is an even more positive day than today.

In particular for our Year 12 students, the final term of the year will require this positive mindset more than ever.

I urge our students to take everything they have learnt, every available resources, every learning strategy and every ounce of energy left to ensure they can end their thirteen years of education with head held high, knowing they have done everything they can do achieve to their potential. We understand this is a challenge but we know that it is a challenge our students are capable of overcoming and we are here to support you to the end.

Regardless of outcomes, know that we are very proud of all of you.

Hope you have a great term break!
