Cleaning up Space!

Students have been learning and engaging in ways to clean up discarded satellites and space debris that orbits earth. As part of an Australian Space Agency initiative, and in partnership with Makers Empire, students have been designing their own debris removal tools using durable materials that are lightweight and can withstand high and low temperatures in space. These will be 3D printed and displayed at the Australian Space Discovery Centre on Lot 14 in Adelaide, with several students invited to discuss their designs with companies that are working through real solutions to tackle the problem of space debris.
