Outside School Hours Care

Outside School Hours Care

Welcome back, we hope you all enjoyed your holidays.

We have a big Term 4 planned and are focusing on the 3 R’s! REDUCE, REUSE AND RECYCLE!

OSHC are looking for donations of bottle lids if you have some at home, please bring them in, we have a jar near the sign in sheet to put them in. We have started our recycling journey by using donated items to build and construct monsters, people, boats, magical wands and more!

The children have been painting and designing their own Christmas paper with many different designs using finger printing, handprints, dot painting to painting their own Christmas tree designs or using stamps. Painting is a way for children to do many important things, such as: convey ideas, express emotion, use their senses, explore colour, explore process and outcomes, and create aesthetically pleasing works and experiences.

The children have been using the wooden blocks to create towers, different homes for the farm animals and build car tracks. These activities help children learn to take turns and share materials, develop new friendships, become self-reliant, increase attention span, cooperate with others, and develop self-esteem. Block play requires fine and gross motor skills.

Other activities the children have enjoyed included sensory play, outside play, ‘Aussie Hoops’ basketball in the KLC with Mr Lockhart and Mr G, played Camouflage, Shovel Man, Secret Sardines and were also treated to popcorn and a movie.
