Grandparents and Carers Afternoon

It was wonderful to see so many people turn up for our first Grandparent’s Day. We were entertained by the school’s choir and drumming group and shared a delicious afternoon tea cooked by the students.

Grandparents Day is celebrated on Sunday 30th October each year. We are so grateful to all of our grandparents for the role they play in our student's lives. Carers Week was last week from 16-22 October and we want to celebrate and thank all of the carers in our school community.

World OT Week

We would like to thank our amazing OTs from SEED Paediatric Services who work closely with us to support students and build the capacity of our staff. Michelle has worked with us for nearly 7 years and Olivia and Cory joined us last term. Thank you also to all the NDIS OTs who visit our school and work with the students during the day. We are grateful for all you do for our students.

Wangarang 60th Anniversary

Last Wednesday Mrs Owens, Ms Pritchard and I visited Wangarang to celebrate their 60th birthday. We were thrilled to see past students Andrew, Georgia, Hugh, Joshua, Maddie, Anouk, Payton, Nicholas, Olivia, Josh, Sasha and Samantha working onsite.

Congratulationsto Wangarang on successfully supporting people with disabilities and working in our community for 60 wonderful years. I have been invited to be a Board member of Wangarang which is a great honour for me. Exciting projects are ahead including a bulk return and earn centre on site next year.
