Foundation (Prep)

What a wonderful welcome I received when I returned to the classroom this week. 

I'd like to thank my colleagues for all of their support, Miss Dowel and Ms Fatnowna for doing such a fabulous job in my absence and the Prep families for their warm welcome on my return.

This week, the students and I have had a great time sharing news of our holidays during Writer's Workshop, enjoyed reading Winnie the Witch as we focused on the letter Ww in Literacy and practised adding money and making maps in Maths. 

Our Inquiry topic this term is Looking After Our World. We have started talking about things that help our environment and things that harm it. This week we also began discussions about recycling and how we can reduce the amount of rubbish we send to landfill.
