Kitchen Garden News Term 4

 

This term we are looking forward to the second block of learning for 1/2 JL , 1/2LL and FL, FR.  We will be commencing with the 1/2s the first four weeks , followed by Foundation.

The 1/2s will be exploring rice as 1/2 JE did last term. 

 

Enjoy reading Mae’s information text about the Australasian Bittern bird, an endangered bird which rice farmers are supporting to increase numbers through monitoring them in their rice fields.

 

The Australasian Bittern bird By Mae – 1/ 2 JE

 

Australia Bittern birds live in wetlands and rice fields. The Australian bittern bird is an endangered species. Rice farmers make sure the bittern bird is safe. They count the bittern birds to check if their population is growing. The bittern bird makes a booming sound.
