State Cross Country Competition

On Thursday July 13, Gurkirt Singh competed at the Victorian Secondary School Cross Country competition at Bundoora Park, he was the only student to make it through from Nossal High School.

Gurkirt competed in the 15 year old age group and ran 3kms. Gurkirt ran an outstanding time of 10mins 09 seconds. Gurkirt placed 51st out 79 runners and was extremely surprised and pleased with his results.

Regional Hockey Competition

On Wednesday July 27, the Senior Girls Hockey Team competed at the Regional Hockey Competition. The girls played extremely well.

The girls played Kooweerup Secondary School in the round robin stage and won. They then went on to play Frankston High School in the grand final for a chance to qualify to play at School Sport Victoria State Championships. Unfortunately the girls lost this match.

To the Nossal girls' credit, Frankston High School have several State Team players in their ranks, whereas  most of the Nossal girls have only played hockey at school level. The girls should be extremely proud of their efforts, we are.
