State Cross Country Report

Following strong performances at Regionals in June, Annabel Keecha-Milsom and Nikola Mandic of Year 11 and Rippy Sohi of Year 9 qualified for the SSV State Championships of Cross Country.

Unfortunately on the day, an injury prevented Nikola from running, however Nossal was well represented by Rippy in the U15 boys and Annabel in the 17+ girls age groups.

Competing against many of the best runners in the State, both ran excellently and challenged many in sprints to the finish line. Rippy competed strongly in his first outing at a State Cross Country event, finishing 50th, whilst Annabel battled much older girls to finish 31st and set up a great race for next year.

Congratulations to all runners who competed at the damp Division and Regional competitions, and particularly Rippy, Annabel and Nikola for their efforts in qualifying for States. We now look forward to sending many teams off to Division and Regional sports competitions and beginning preparations for the Division Athletics Carnival in September.
