Parents Association

A letter from Annie

I can’t believe my time as President has come to an end.

It has been great getting to know parents from other year levels which I may not otherwise have had the opportunity to do.

It has been a big responsibility to keep an eye on our principal over the past 2 years! Brendan has been a great support to me with any decision I made, so thank you Brendan.

Thank you to the Parents Association committee, you just owned your roles and ran with it. You all put your hands up time and time again, you really did make my job much easier.

Thanks to our very efficient secretary Denise, you have been extremely patient especially when waiting for my response to your emails!

A huge thank you to Sam Rist, you have been a great “wingman”.  Having someone with so much common sense to bounce ideas off has been very reassuring.

It is a comfort to know my daughter is in a school with such dedicated and supportive teachers, a thank you to you all.  A particular apology to Imelda and Ange for my consistent pestering, I’ll miss hanging out with you at the office!

It has been a great year but in some ways a tough one as our family has experienced personal loss. But, the love and care my family received from our beautiful little community of St James was deeply felt, so thank you.

I feel that any effort I have put in towards the Parents Association, I have received back 10 fold in support.

I wish Jane Kanizay all the best with her new role as President in 2018.

SCHOOL BANKING

The Commonwealth School Banking program has arrived at St James Catholic Primary School to help our children develop strong financial literacy skills, plus earn some extra benefits for our school.

School Banking Day is every TUESDAY.

Students are to bring their yellow bank books in each TUESDAY and put them in the banking bag in their classroom.  The bag will then be collected between 9:00am and 9:30am by one of our banking volunteers.

Once the banking is processed the banking bag will be sent back to the class for bank books to be returned to students.

N.B.  School Banking will resume in the New Year.

Parents please note

NO LUNCH ORDERS

Students will not be able to place Lunch Orders for the remainder of the year.
