St James Musical
Monday 18 December &
Tuesday 19 December
Dear Parents,
Please read all the information below detailing arrival, hair and make-up details for The Lion King Jnr. performances.
Costumes
All children will arrive at school in casual clothes and change into their costumes at school. NO COSTUMES WILL BE TAKEN HOME. Children must also wear a pair of slip on shoes such as thongs or crocs. These must be clearly named as children will need to wear them to walk to and from the Theatre, but will have bare feet on stage. A reminder that all items supplied by children need to be at school now. Please ask your class teachers if you are unsure of this.
Make- Up
The children should arrive at school with the following make-up and hair:
Foundation and Year One
Boys - A light foundation base, eyeliner
Girls - A light foundation base, eyeliner, mascara, pink or red lips
Hair - Ponytail - mid height
Year Two
Boys and Girls - Foundation base, See attached face plan. Low plait for girls.
Year Three
Boys - A light foundation base, eyeliner
Girls - A light foundation base, eyeliner, mascara
Hair - High Ponytail or Pigtails
Year Four
Boys and Girls - A light foundation base and eyeliner. Hair teased / messed. Girls in ponytail then teased.
Year Five and Six
See table below.
Please note, that while it is preferable for students to wear some make-up to bring out their features under the lights, it is not an absolute necessity. It is important that all children enjoy the performance and remain calm and positive. If make-up is something that upsets this, then do not feel as though you need to force the issue. The teachers will be able to do touch ups at school if students change their mind.
