Junior Sub School

How cold can it get? If your answer is “This is about as cold as it’s ever been’ then let’s all hope it warms up soon!

Things in the Junior School, however, are warming up. Full semester reports went live at the end of last term on Compass. We hope you have had time to review your child’s progress. I have been pleased to read a wide sample of reports and note how well many of our students have worked across Terms One and Two.

The Junior School team congratulates those students who have worked well and achieved strong grades as a result. We also hope that, as this term starts us on the journey to the end of the year, all students try their hardest to do their best. Assessments have been ‘reset’, so now is the fresh start students may need.

As part of the process of reviewing the results from Semester One, Junior School team members will be contacting parents and caregivers to discuss the semester’s outcomes for their children. We hope these conversations will help our students achieve their best in the coming months.

Mr. Kerr, the Junior School Student Progress leading teacher, has been in contact with a group of parents and students to discuss ways to organise students in a way that will help them be more successful in their studies.

We look forward to working with you in the fresh environment of a new semester, so that students can achieve their best outcomes.

Middle Sub School

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome back all Middle School students as we embark upon Term 3 for 2016. The term promises to be yet another one full of opportunities for our students to continue their journey towards Year 10 and Year 11 in 2017. Whilst the weather has not started that positively, we have been pleased with the manner in which the students have returned to school after their much deserved holiday break.

2017 Subject Selection

The current Year 9 students have received information this week in regards to subject selection for Year 10 in 2017. It was great to see so many Year 9 parents attending the Year 9 information night eager to be involved in the subject selection process. It is important that the students work with their teachers and of course their parents, in order to make the best choices in regards to the subjects offered at the College. Please encourage your students to ask any questions they may have so that they have all of the relevant information at their disposal.

The Year 10 students and parents attended the Year 11 course counselling session on Tuesday with enthusiasm.  They attended the session fully prepared and it was great to see the professionalism and eagerness they had towards their future subject choices and pathways.
