Course Counselling and Subject Selection for 2017

Year 10 2017

It was delightful to see such a large number of parents attending the Year 10 Information Evening. There is clear research evidence that indicates that when parents and schools work together, the outcomes for the students are improved. The thoughtful questions and engagement of all involved is definitely a positive sign that the young people in Year 9 will be well supported as they make the decisions they face regarding future pathways.

It is now time to make an appointment for final Subject Selection. These appointments can be made through Compass for 1st August. If you need assistance with Compass or booking an appointment, please telephone the Office on 9743 3322.

Year 9 2017

Subject Supermarket: Friday 29th July

Students will listen to information about each of the Selectives that will be offered in 2017. They are encouraged to ask questions and required to take notes about each Selective.

Parent Information Session Monday 8th August 6pm

Year 8 Parents/carers are encouraged to attend this evening to assist them in supporting their child as they make decisions about which subjects they will study in Year 9.

Year 11 2017

If you did not attend your Subject Selection Counselling Session, you face the possibility of not receiving your first preferences for 2017. However, it is still important that you make an appointment with the Careers Staff to complete this task. If the appointment is not made this week, we will assume that you do not intend to return to MSC in 2017.
