Premier's Reading Challenge

Register now for the 2020 Premiers Reading Challenge.  If you’re in Years 7 to 9 follow these instructions to join. Get reading and grow your skills in spelling and punctuation, expand your vocabulary and experience how authors use their imagination to create a story. Also discover how reading for pleasure can be a great way to unwind as you escape in your book. 

Join the Challenge and join the other Cecil students past and future who have successfully completed it!

The 2020 Challenge closes on Friday, 28 August 2020. To complete the challenge, students must log the books they have read (or have had read to them). The competition requirements are outlined below . Students in Year 7, will be shown how to record their books through the student portal.

Students must read 20 books:

• a minimum of  15 PRC Books
• a maximum of 5 personal choice books
• students may choose  books from book lists 5-6 and 7-9

To access their Student Reading Record, students need to first access their student portal by going to:

• https://education.nsw.gov.au then selecting Log in and Student Portal. They will then be prompted to enter their student login and password.  If your child has forgotten please see Mr Vargas (IT Support).
• Select: Learning then Premiers Reading Challenge. This will open a new window for the Premier's Reading Challenge Students
• Select:  logon button and they will automatically be logged in (no username or password required).
• Registration is now complete and students can select Student Reading Records and enter books

Students can also enter books at school using our computers in the library.
