From the Principal

Welcome to Week 5

Hello all, hopefully you managed to stay cool during last week's heat. We received some good news regarding the next stage of Capital Development, the builders (Partek) will be on site as of next Wednesday. There will be an increase in activity around the school as time goes by, please be aware of the impact on traffic flow and the need to maybe park further away from the school. I will circulate further information as it comes to hand.

Students in Years 3 and 5 will participate in NAPLAN this year.  A letter with information for parents has been sent home.  The NAPLAN test will begin in week 7, commencing on Monday March 15th.  The test is all online, apart from the Writing component for Year 3's.

Our enrolment numbers are very strong at the moment, with our JP classes near capacity. If you know of anyone considering Reception at our school in 2024, please have them contact the school ASAP, as this cohort is already close to capacity.

A critical component of our work as educators and community is constant vigilance in regard to the safety and welfare of children. This "alert" is not in response to a recent incident, it is  just a reminder that there are people and organisations we can turn to in times of concern or uncertainty. On our School Website in the Teaching and Learning drop box there is a Keeping Safe Tab, this contains relevant policies and procedures that are of assistance if the need arises. If at anytime you have concerns regarding the safety and welfare of a child no matter how small it may appear, I am always available to talk about the issue.

Please refer the diary dates for upcoming events. A couple of key events are swimming for Years R-4, which will conducted in week 10 of the term and the 5/6 camp taking place in week 11.

Have a great weekend
