Student Wellbeing
Mrs Rebecca Beveridge
What another great two weeks we have had at St Joseph's! I have particularly loved seeing all our students at the Twilight Sports on Wednesday night. It was amazing to see the support, care, love and encouragement that they have for each other! It is so wonderful to see them build connections between multiple children across different year levels!
Sad News
This week we received some very sad news about Maggie's dad, Barry. Our prayers and thoughts are with them during this difficult time. Please use the resources below if you or your child is in need.
Positive Behaviours for Learning (PBL)
The past two weeks have been very busy for PBL! We have looked at being respectful and responsible before school commences as well as when moving around the school and in the toilets. We have seen lots of fantastic students doing amazing things and lots have Gotchas have been received! We are officially past the halfway mark on our gotcha tower! Congratulations to Arlo and Fynn S who won the prize from the Gotcha tower at our last assembly! I wonder who it will be next week!!!
Harmony Week
Next week we will be celebrating Harmony week! Harmony week is a chance for students to learn about all the different cultures around the world and understand the meaning of how we should embrace our differences but also understand how we are all the same! Next Wednesday we will be having a little cook-up at school and sharing dishes of food from around the world! Students will also be invited to wear a touch of orange to commemorate the day. This could be a ribbon, socks, hat etc.
Kids Helpline Resources
There is a heap of really great resources on Kids Helpline that I would like to share with you all.
Smiling Mind
Smiling Mind has just recently released the 'Resilient Families Program'. This would be a fantastic resource that you and your family could use at home.
