The 2023 Production

'The Generation Gap'

Great Ryrie Primary School is excited to announce our upcoming bi-annual school production “The Generation Gap”.

A much-anticipated event in our school calendar, the bi-annual production gives our children a real theatre experience to remember.

“The Generation Gap”  tells the story of one family that is struggling to disconnect from technology and connect with each other. We learn early on that an obvious generation gap exists between the different generations. Through storytelling and spending some quality time with their grandparents, the children rediscover their connection with their grandparents, parents and each other. Their relationship grows as they tell stories and discover that underneath all the technology and jargon, they all want the same thing – to be valued, appreciated and loved.

Over the previous week, students in years 5 and 6 have been auditioning for the main roles and classes have learned about their characters and musical items.

For an event of this size to be successful, we rely on large teams of parents and community volunteers to help us. Volunteers can assist us by constructing props, making costumes, fundraising, promotions, backstage, hair and make up....the list is endless! Please contact Peta Murray on Peta.Murray@education.vic.gov.au if you are able to assist in anyway.
