How We Organise Ourselves
CENTRAL IDEA
GOVERNMENT DECISIONS AFFECT SOCIETY AND THE ENVIRONMENT
The students will be exploring different levels of government and investigating the function of government in Australia. They will learn about the law-making process and the preferential voting system that we have in place in Australia. Students will also be discussing how ethical principles can be used as the basis for action and decision making.

Action
Year 6 students will be involved in a wide range of experiences during this Unit of Inquiry. Students will be encouraged to share their personal experiences of government and new learning with their peers.
