LOCKDOWN

What very difficult times we are living in and we understand how tough things are for families.  Please ensure you are looking after your own health as best you can.

With the Government announcements earlier this week, the Department of Education has tightened the guidelines for children to attend onsite.  My apologies to parents who I have not been able to ring to discuss their children.  I am happy for you to email me if I haven’t called you.  We are trying to support our students in the very best ways we can, but must follow the guidelines given to us by the Department of Education.

We require parents who are Authorised Workers to email their work permits to the school in order for their children to attend onsite.  If you have already provided these to OSHC, they will be sent on to us.

REMOTE LEARNING

We greatly appreciate all you are doing to support your child’s learning at home.  The following things may help you at home.

  • Insist your child always shows RESPECT during online meetings addressing people by their names where they can
  • It’s OK for your child to make mistakes in their learning as that is part of the learning process
  • Allow your child the time to complete activities to the best of their ability
  • Try to make sure your child does some physical activity.

If it all becomes overwhelming, take a break and be kind to yourself.  Go for a walk or get the child/ren to do some quiet reading or play a board game.

We really do understand how hard things are for parents.
