Year 4 Living History Incursion
On Monday, 26 July, our Year 4 students went back in time to the late 1700s to explore the First Fleet journey from Portsmouth to New South Wales. They dressed as passengers of the fleet and enjoyed a memorable Living History incursion. Students viewed and handled historic artefacts from the time and learned what it would have been like for convicts sentenced to transportation to Australia. They visited the Green Screen room later in the day to take period photos, highlighting what life would have been like on board the sailing ships and in the early settlement at Sydney Cove.
The Premier's Reading Challenge
Our Primary students have two more weeks to participate in the Premier’s Reading Challenge which is open until Friday, 27 August. Once students have completed their reading record form they may hand these to their class teacher. We look forward to acknowledging the children’s reading efforts by presenting them with a Certificate of Achievement signed by the Premier of Queensland early next term.
Book Week In-class Parade - Friday 20 August
Whilst we are unable to celebrate Book Week with our much-anticipated parade on Assembly, students are invited to come dressed as their favourite book character for in-class parades.
This year’s theme is “Old Worlds, New Worlds, Other Worlds”.
Please ensure that costumes are suitable for the weather and can be comfortably worn for the day. Closed in shoes must be worn.

Primary Sports and Andrews Cup Notices
Andrews Cup Athletics
The Andrews Cup Athletics competition has been postponed from Thursday 19 August. Further information will be provided as soon as it has been received by the College. Until then, training will continue on the College oval for all sessions next week
- Monday 3:30 pm - 5:00 pm
- Wednesday 6:45 am - 8:00 am
- Friday 6:45 am - 8:00 am
All athletes in the squad will be required to continue training.
