Principal's News

Our theme for this year is

STEP UP! BE MORE!

In the midst of this difficult time, I am really happy to be able to congratulate Leo, Kristy and Adele on the birth of their new baby daughter/sister - "Mattea" .

What a beautiful blessing and a lovely reminder that, despite our circumstances, there are wonderful things happening all around us every day.

We wish all our dads a very Happy Fathers' Day for Sunday - cherish the time with family and enjoy the blessings of your children.

Bianca, our Wellbeing Leader, has been putting together some fun challenges for the children, to help lift their spirits and keep them engaged and connected. This week's challenge is fun for all the family. Check it out at the following link:

In order to access the google form to submit your responses, you will have to do this via your child's gmail account.

All of our calendar dates for term 3 are on hold at the moment. We will do our very best to reschedule events we have missed. We will definitely make a time to get the year 3/4 billy cart event happening once the children are back at school. We will also get our sleepover in at some stage in the year! Stay posted for updates about the rescheduling of events (including our Bakers Delight Lunch), once we have some greater clarity about when we will be back onsite.

What else can I say to you but:

  • Hang in there!
  • Ask for help if you need it - anything!
  • Stay connected - phone a friend.
  • Play with your children (when you get half a minute) - don't worry so much about the housework - it will still be there tomorrow for you to do!
  • Don't sweat the small stuff.
  • Do what you can - that's all you can do.
  • Know we will be OK - have hope, say a little prayer.
  • Laugh a lot.
  • And a little bit of alcohol every now and then, may very possibly help! (for the adults - not the kids of course!)

This might be a way of looking at our current situation in a positive way:

If you are not feeling that great or feel you would like some help or support, the parish staff have put together the following directory:

ARE YOU  OK?  Covid  Stress Relief Workshop.

St Kevin's Parish has organised for a special FREE workshop to take place on Saturday 11th September to support, reassure, rebalance and empower you with simple techniques and practices to help you soothe your body mind and spirit. Please see the flyer below for more details and email Lydia on lydia@calmalifestyle.com.au or call on 0411 191 495 if you are interested in attending.
