“Destination Moon!!”
Calling all budding scientists! This year Science Week runs from Monday to Friday 12th to 16th August. The theme this year is “Destination Moon”. It looks at how space exploration and particularly the Moon has made a huge change to our understanding of our place in space and the way in which we live. The laboratories will be open for students and staff to come along and get their hands into a wide range of science activities.
There will be rocket launches, dissections, a Red Bull Drone Racing Competition and dozens of hands-on activities such as robotics, wind tunnels, experiments with biology, chemistry, physics and psychology, our famous chemistry show; visual illusions, light boxes, plasma balls, microscopes, crash test dummies; chromatography; chemical reactions; gyrocopters and much much more.
