Year 9 Movie Night & Excursion

The year 9’s end of semester reward was a social outdoor movie night at school. We all came to school and were welcomed by many beautiful decorations, lights, games and a large oven to cook the pizzas in. Before watching the movie, we played many games such as charades and many team games. It was obvious when we voted that the verdict was to watch The Greatest Showman, so we all got out the bean bags, blankets and pillows and enjoyed the movie. We had many snacks during the night including a delicious dessert pizza, popcorn and lollies. All together it was a wonderful, entertaining night that was well planned by Miss Pegrum. The Year 9 class would like to thank Miss Pegrum her effort to make that night spectacular.

The year 9 movie night was very enjoyable and memorable time. We started the night off by playing a few games such as charades. Shortly after, we got to enjoy the amazing wood-fire pizza for dinner. We then ended the fun night with delicious dessert and a movie. It was a great night especially we got to spend it with our Year 9 class. We made new memories that will stick with us for the years to come. Big thanks goes out to Miss Pegrum who organised this as it wouldn't have been possible without her and also the year 10's who helped out and set the place up.

This semester we went on an excursion to Court in Perth’s centre to experience a court trial and learn how they work. We traveled by bus to an old building where court cases usually took place long ago and we did a mock trial there. We dressed in costume and pretended to be in a real trial. There was a judge, witnesses, a jury and much more. After we learnt a bit more on the court system, we walked over to a real case of Filipino smugglers smuggling people into Australia. We didn’t see the full case but had to leave part way through because this case ended up going on for weeks. Thank you Mr Morey for organising this educational trip for us.
