The Year 12 Outdoor Education class completed their final expedition with a fantastic trip to Peaceful Bay. Sadly the weather gods didn’t shine on us but the group were able to demonstrate the progress they have made in Outdoor Education over their time at Mazenod. We arrived in Peaceful Bay the day after a severe weather warning had been lifted for the area, departed as another system approached and had some pretty unpleasant weather in between. But what didn’t change was the passion the group showed to the expedition and the respect each group member showed each other. The grit and determination the group showed after hiking 25km was a testament to these young gentlemen.
Many thanks go out to Mr Wallis(83) and Tim Wallis(17) who accompanied us on the expedition and gave words of wisdom and encouragement when needed.
