SUCCESS STORIES

JOSH KAH - RACING TO SUCCESS

Josh Kah (Year 9) recently competed in the 2014 Australian Sub-junior Speed Skating Championships on Sunday 5 October and became the National Champion.  Short Track Speed Skating is Australia’s most successful Winter Olympic Sport.

As a result, Joshua was invited to an International Elite Development Camp run by the Olympic Winter Institute of Australia, during the first week of Term 4 and has begun training with the Australian Olympic Team at the Icehouse.

Josh is the second youngest male (at 14 years) and 1 of only 7 skaters in Australia (2 train full-time in Korea) to qualify for the Elite Development Squad.  Joshua’s brother Skyler also qualified for the squad.

Josh has his sights on wearing the green and gold for Australia at international competitions and breaking the national 333m record in 2015.

Congratulations Josh on this wonderful achievement and we look forward to hearing about your continued success in the future.
