From the Principal's desk

Last week I had the pleasure of joining the Year 3 and 4 students on their camp to Swan Hill. It was great to step back in time and learn how to churn butter, wash clothes the old fashion way, build a pig pen, send messages in morse code, make peg dolls and many other activities. The children displayed the school values at all times and a favourite memory of mine was simply watching the children play skippy with a rope they had made at the end of the day.

Next Wednesday 5th December at 6.30pm in the school library we will hold a parent information session for parents of students in Years 3-6 who would like to come along and hear a little more about our Bring Your Own Device Program. This night will assist with your decision whether to purchase an iPad or netbook and provide an opportunity to have your questions answered.

We have now finalised our staffing for next year and below I have printed a full list of our staff. Please note we have changed our leadership profile and we now have two leading teachers, with David keen to return to the classroom. Also we have appointed a new Science/Welfare teacher, Rohan Lelliott. Rohan joins us from Shepparton High School and has had considerable experience, leading the Wellbeing Team there for the last 7 years as well as teaching Science and Guitar. We have also made a significant investment in providing additional support for our students and will seek next year to provide support to all students who are below their expected levels in learning.
