In praise of our Online Learners... 

In praise of Mannat, Chantelle and Esme from Prep Schorer and James from Prep Prince. 

All four students worked well to complete a creative thinking and oral language activity. They listened to each others' ideas, encouraged each other and created a wonderful costume for Tigger the Tiger to make him feel special. James has also been writing his name correctly!!!!! (That's a massive win for James)

In praise of Kylan and Rollvin from Prep PR for doing such beautiful reading. Miss Prince has loved watching their videos on Dojo. They also did an amazing job at their long and short vowel sounds on their Google meet. What champions!

In praise of Dorian and Sebastian from F-SC for using their great listening and speaking skills, remaining on topic when responding to interview questions. Well done Dorian and Sebastian!

In praise of Sriyan Sharma from 1/2WE for attending reading groups, intervention sessions and completing every task with energy and enthusiasm. Well done Sriyan!

In praise of Jarrod Theseira - an amazing learner all around. Jarrod adapts to learning at home and onsite at school. He is always working hard to further his knowledge in all areas and sharing this with great detail of his learning activity via Dojo. This week he was able to enjoy the experience of a virtual excursion to the Great Barrier Reef.  Well done Jarrod!

In praise of Aguet and Dhel from 5/6FI! Aguet has been a really hard-working onsite learner who hands in all of his work and challenges himself with some difficult tasks. He is particularly helpful with the Prep students who are also learning onsite. Well done Aguet.

Dhel has made an outstanding start to remote learning this term, attending all Google Meet check ins and asks for help when needed. Well done Dhel!

In praise of Lan Luu from 5/6 Doyle. I would like to congratulate Lan Luu for an incredible start back to online learning. Lan has completed all her work to an excellent standard and has attended each of the Google Meet sessions each morning. It is great to see Lan putting so much effort into her tasks! Here is a snippet of her work - her sentences for our Word of the Day - "Brunch" 

"For Christmas morning, my family, cousins and grandparents gather for a special brunch.

My family used to go out to a restaurant to have a delicious brunch on our birthday."

In praise of Alysha Try Heang from 1/2 WE for always trying her best when completing learning tasks. Well done Alysha!

In praise of Anok in 5/6 Doyle this week. I would also like to congratulate Anok who has been working hard at school. Anok has attended all of our reading groups and has ensured that she has completed all her tasks in a timely manner. Anok is also a great help whilst at school and always has a positive attitude. Well done, Anok!

In praise of Jonathan D in 5/6PO for a wonderful beginning to Remote and Online Learning in Term 3. Jonathan has been fantastic at completing his learning tasks each day and asking for help when he needs it. Jonathan will attend Google Meet learning sessions to ask questions and clarify tasks. I have been very impressed with his commitment to his learning. Well done Jonathan!

In praise of Edison in 5/6PO for making a great effort to attend class meetings each day and ask for help when he needs it. Edison has been working hard to complete his tasks on Google Classroom and has been submitting his work on time. He should be very proud of his positive start to Online Learning in Term 3. Well done Edison!

In praise of Quenna in 5/6ST who promptly attends all Google Meet roll calls even if she has to travel to her farm! She always gives 100% effort to complete all tasks promptly. When online, Quenna is respectful and is mindful of waiting for others to finish speaking before she asks her questions. Well done on being Online Learner of the Week.

In praise of Joshua 5/6ST who is an enthusiastic learner who enjoys staying on Google Meet just to have a chat with his teacher. He attempts to complete all tasks that are required of him and will always ask questions if he doesn’t understand an instruction. Joshua is always mindful to wait his turn when speaking on Google Meet or sharing information. Well done Joshua on being Online Learner of the Week.

In praise of Shawn from 5/6DO! Shawn has worked really hard in Remote Learning 2.0 to be a responsible learner and has taken the initiative in using the Daily Tracker to ensure he completes all of his work in a timely manner. Keep up the great work! Well done Shawn! 

In praise of Ansh from 5/6DO for consistently completing the Word of the Day activities. He always writes sentences that show the correct meaning of the words we are working on. Here are his examples for the word "hydrate":

"I stay hydrated.

My and my friends drink a lot of water to stay hydrated. 

We drink water to stay hydrated."

In praise of Mia Dioneda in 3/4BA for being present on Google Meet and her reading groups. She also did an amazing invitation design for the Greater Dandenong's Children's Forum 2020. Well done Mia!

In praise of Debi Tamene 3/4BA for being responsible towards her learning by coming onto Google Meet to ask questions about her work. She also demonstrated great persistence for her Mathematics' work. Well done Debi!

In praise of Chloe Alexandrou from 3/4BA as she has been present and responsible for her work. It is great to see that she is independently coming to her online reading group and regularly submitting her work. Well done Chloe!

In praise of Nicholas Kouch from 5/6DO for your stunning Window View using an iPad. Nicholas skillfully combined photography with artistic technology to make a cartoon from a photo in this artwork. Well done Nicholas!

In praise of Nishali Fernando in 5/6PO for skillfully drawing from a photograph, your Window View of your front door. Normally not a common feature for an artwork, but Nishali has brought this part of her home to life with her artistic touch! Well done Nishali!

In praise of William from 5/6ST who has made an excellent adjustment to Remote Online Learning in Term 3. He enthusiastically participates in all online calls and meetings and wrote a lovely prayer to share with the class during roll call.  William efficiently navigates all tasks on Google Classroom and enjoys saying a quick hello to all his friends. Well done William!

In praise of Mia Nhien in 1/2KO. During remote learning Mia has been working extremely hard, she has been attending all her reading lessons and handing all her work in at a high standard. You should feel proud of the great work you're doing, keep it up. Well done Mia!

In praise of Sean Iosefa in 1/2KO. Whilst working at school, Sean has shown enthusiasm towards his lesson and the work he is handing in. He constantly has a big smile on his face and is a great friend to all. Keep smiling! Well done Shaun!

In praise of Johnny in 3/4NG! This week for writing, Level 3/4 explored key ideas from a video about frogs. Johnny was able to list and rewrite the key ideas in his own words. Well done Johnny!

In praise of Tamie in 3/4NG. This Week for reading, Level 3/4 focused on finding the main idea from the reading text about ‘frogs’. Tamie demonstrated her understand by rewriting the main ideas in her own words. Well done Tamie!

In praise of Grace Lominded in 5/6FI for her happy smiling presence on our Google Meets and her hard work online. Well done Grace!

In praise of Ashuel Ashuel in 5/6FI for really making sure he attends all our Google Meets to check in and ask for help when needed. Well done Ashuel!

In praise of Nicola in F-PR for always being on the morning Google Meets and her create work when writing notes. Well done Nicola!

In praise of Dion in F-PR for always posting photos of his work and his great home interview. Well done Dion!

In praise of Jordan Estenzo 1/2GR. Congratulations to Jordan for the amazing work he is doing in oral language particularly and how he is interested in all the animals we are learning about.  This week he bought his own squirtle and compared it to the sea turtles, using it as a way to demonstrate his learning.  Well done Jordan!

In praise of Simbo Fikadu in 1/2GR always puts in her best effort, regardless of wifi issues, if she is at home or at school.  When she is in reading groups she always reads calmly and fluently. Her work is what is asked for and she always has a smile on her face! Well done Simbo!

In praise of Neha in 5/6HA who has done a wonderful job in her reading group both listening to the teacher and others as well as contributing her ideas. Her work is always handed in on time and she always attends our hangout sessions. Well done Neha!

In praise of Ricky in 5/6HA who has worked really hard the past few weeks to get a lot of his work done and will email me if he is unsure.  Well done Ricky!

In praise of Por Por in 5/6PO for her regular attendance at our class meetings on Google Meet as well as her hard work during Online Learning in Term 3. Por Por submits the work that she completes in a timely manner and her work is well thought out. Well done Por Por!

In praise of Lydia in 5/6PO for her consistent attendance at our morning and afternoon class meetings on Google Meet. She has also really made an effort to attend our writing and maths learning sessions throughout the day this week. Lydia is always respectful and cheerful when communicating and working online. Well done Lydia!
