The Enemy within Motivational Speaking

We recently had the pleasure of welcoming Mr Joe Williams back to the College to hold a conversation with Year 9 students about language and the impact our words have on others. Joe spoke from his own experience and engaged with students on topics of culture, where we are from, our identity, and how we respond to others.

In the spirit of Harmony Week, we believe this conversation is just the start of learning how to be proud of our diversity, in truly owing our differences and in working towards a kind of community resilience that models what acceptance for everyone looks like.

Life Choices Foundation

Next week we welcome back Andrew Price from Life Choices Foundation. Year 8 students will have the chance to discuss the challenges teenagers face, and the ability to stop and consider the consequences of some of life's significant choices. It encourages students to choose the path that is 'right' for them.

The Program provides evidence-based information and real-life stories that inspire young people to stand firm in the face of difficulties and negative influences. And we get to check out his car!
