Dear Parents/ Carers

RE Inquiry Year 1/2

As part of the Year 1 and 2 RE Inquiry question Who am I? How do I belong? the students have been exploring the life of the patron saint of our school, St Bede. They reflected on how they could follow in the footsteps of St Bede and came up with some of the following responses.

I can be like St Bede by...
I can be like St Bede by...

The St Bede's Prayer is prayed in classrooms on a regular basis and at the beginning of our school assemblies. I have included this prayer below. You might like to pray this together at home as a family.

Lord of everlasting light,

We gather in your name.

as the community of St Bede’s

to praise you and give you thanks,

Guide us in our journey of faith

as we follow Bede in striving to know,

to do,

to live together

and to be.
