Week 4 Term 1 2022
Prep Information session
On Tuesday morning Mrs Jefferys with the assistance of Mrs Boyhan conducted an information session for our Prep parents. It was a very informative hour where Laura and the parents engaged in discussion about the first 5 weeks of the term. The daily routine was discussed as well as how the school differentiates the curriculum for students.
I thank the parents for engaging so fully in the session. I trust it was beneficial for all.
Open Day
The first of our Open days will take place next Thursday 17th March between 9am-1pm. Please remind all your friends from kinder of the day and time. It would be great to have as many prospective families attend as possible. Your word of mouth is our biggest advertisement.
COVID 19
This past week we have had an increase in the number of students presenting with COVID 19, in particular in the Year 5/6 area. It is important that we follow the guidelines to decrease the potential of spreading of COVID
What you need to know
If your child is not experiencing COVID-19 symptoms, they can continue to attend school, but you should monitor for symptoms.
Students who show symptoms of COVID-19 cannot attend school and should get tested immediately and isolate until they receive a negative result.
Students should continue with twice-a-week rapid antigen testing on school days.
Students who have recovered from COVID-19 do not need to participate in surveillance testing for 30 days after their isolation period has ended.
For information on symptoms visit: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/symptoms-and-risks.
For more information on how to get tested visit: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/taking-test-covid-19.
If your child is positive, contact the parents of their social group.
Information provided yesterday by MACS ( updated Operational guidelines)
If a student or staff member tests positive through a rapid antigen test, but does not have symptoms or has not been in contact with anyone who has COVID-19, it is recommended that they get a PCR test within 48 hours and stay isolated until they receive their result. If the PCR test is negative, the student or staff member can return to school.
Public Holiday
Just a reminder that Monday is a public holiday.
Harmony Week
Next week we are celebrating Harmony Week. Check the Harmony Week page in the newsletter for exciting activities that the children will be involved in.
Enjoy the long weekend
