Harmony Day- Monday 21st March
Harmony Day is celebrated every year on the 21st March. It celebrates Australia’s cultural diversity. Harmony Day is about including, respecting and appreciating the stories, traditions and cultures of all people who call Australia home.
We encourage all kids to wear a splash of ORANGE on the day.
Performance
We are lucky enough to have brilliant performer Bernard Mangakhia joining us at school next Monday the 21st of March to do a show for us. The show is called “Mana – The Spirit of Polynesia.”
There will be 2 sessions showing. Our Early Years students will enjoy the performance at 9.40-10.40 and our Years 3-6 students will watch at 11.10-12.10. Music and performance has always been a way for breaking down barriers and allowing others a glimpse in to a world that is different to their own
Below is a description of the show.
“Mana The Spirit of Polynesia embodies dance, music, multicultural themes, history, geography, the importance of learning about heritage and the power of self belief and respect.”

I think this will be a brilliant way to celebrate Harmony Day and get students to think beyond their own personal circumstances.
Thanks,
Dallas 😊
