No Hats - No Play
We will be enforcing our ‘No Hat, No Play’ policy in Term 1 and Term 4 on the Primary Campus. It has to be a school wide-brim hat (with the school logo), which is available at the uniform shop.
Parents are reminded to label jumpers, hats, drink bottles, lunch boxes and iPads.
Medication use at school
If your child requires medication, prescribed or over the counter (including paracetamol) whilst at school, there is some important steps you need to take.
- Contact the office and speak to the First Aid Officer at your campus to obtain a Medication Authority Form Dana P at the Secondary Campus and Karen T at the Primary Campus. Fill in and return the form to the school office.
- Medication brought in by a student needs to be in original packaging and clearly labelled with the:
- Students name
- The dosage required
- The time the medication needs to be administered.
- Be in date for use
Some things to be aware of: -
Medication such as paracetamol and other analgesics are NOT kept in the First Aid Kit as can mask signs and symptoms of serious illness.
Medications should not be with students unless needed for emergency access. Ie. Ventolin inhaler or epi-pen.
Medication used to treat Asthma or Anaphylaxis do not need to be accompanied by the medication authority form as it is covered in a student’s health plan.
Medication is not to be given to other student unless it’s a medical emergency: for instance a student who is having an asthma attack and requires Ventolin but has not got an inhaler at school.
For further information please contact your campus First Aid Officer.
