TABGHA Retreat

On Wednesday 16 March, all Year 12 students visited seven different venues to participate in the TABGHA Retreat. The focus was exploring their own gifts and talents, their friendships and how Jesus is also a friend they can rely and call upon.

I would like to sincerely thank all the Year 12 PCG staff for preparing their students to fully embrace all activities on the day. A special thank you to the leaders who ran the Year 12 Tabgha Retreat yesterday; Mrs Marya Stewart, Mr Michael Slacksmith, Mr Tim Hince, Fra Oscar, Mr Chris Brennan and Mr Anthony Byrne. These retreats are a success because we have such committed staff who prepare for the day and give up their time, despite the hectic lifestyle of a teacher.

A big thank you to Ms Jo Creighton for preparing all our medical bags and to Mrs Julianne Blair for the mammoth effort in preparing all our relief teachers. I appreciate how difficult this task has been, especially with COVID challenges. Thank you to all the staff who covered reliefs! Our students provided some positive feedback on the day, and they were very grateful to have some time to pause and reflect on many aspects of their lives.

Mass for Ukraine, Russia, Yemen, Syria and all conflict in the world

Today, we dedicated our 8am Friday Community Mass to Ukraine, Russia, Yemen, Syria and other war-torn countries around the world. Staff and students lit a candle as a symbol of hope and the light of Christ. We are truly blessed to live in Australia at this time. Thank you to all staff and students who came together to pray as a Trinity community.

The Year 12 Faith Prefects will be selling raffle tickets for the Caritas Appeal to help the people of Ukraine. The grand prize is an edible hamper and a voucher. Tickets will be on sale by ‘tap & go’ at recess and lunch from Monday for one week. The winner will be drawn next Friday, 25 March.
