Year 7

A peek into all the Year 7 activities

Our Year 7 students have had a great start to Term 1, particularly supported by a smooth transition with our LP7 start-up program, assisting students in preparing for high school.

Students are already preparing for the year ahead by learning to use the College diary correctly, being well organised for classes, wearing their uniform with pride and speaking to teachers regarding school work and extra-curricular activities.

The Year 7 teachers are very impressed with how well students have transitioned, in addition, are very excited about the level of engagement across all classes.

Thank you to all parents and guardians who attended the Year 7 Interviews with Significant Teachers on Monday 31 January.

A range of lunchtime clubs have begun, deeming opportunity for students to become more involved within the Sunbury College culture. Thus far, we have:

  • 🎨 Art Club in Wellbeing
  • 🏓 Table Tennis
  • 🐉 Dungeons and Dragons
  • ♟ Giant Chess

Each week, lunchtime activities are posted on Compass by Ms. Eeles, stay tuned!

Year 7 Camp

Students in Year 7 attended Phillip Island Adventure Resort on 23rd-25th of February. The 3-day camp gave students the opportunity to participate in a variety of adventure activities and challenges. Some students tried surfing for the first time and others archery. We were fortunate to have beautiful weather and great company!

Congratulations to all Year 7 students on their positive start to 2022, looking forward to an eventful and year ahead.
