Sport

It’s been a very busy fortnight in PE with Level 6 Camp and some of our very talented students shining on Victoria’s highest stage! During our PE sessions this fortnight our Level 3-6 students have been focusing on continuing to build their skills in Basketball and Volleyball. Whilst our Foundation to Level 2 students have begun putting their throwing, catching and moving skills into action in minor games of handball.

Regional Cross Country

Last Tuesday on the 13th of June several Rangeview students (Paddy, Riyon, Will, Jared, Lenny & Collette) competed in the Eastern Regional Cross-Country finals at Yarra Glen racecourse. All our students put in a fantastic effort and should be so proud of their achievements in this extremely high level of competition, it is a credit to their efforts and determination to make it this far. Very special congratulations to Collette in Level 4 who finished 1st place in the u10 girls race and was crowned the Eastern Regional Champion, a very prestigious honor. On behalf of Rangeview we wish Collette the best of luck at the State Final against Victoria’s best runners next Term. We know you will do us proud!

Team Victoria – Basketball

Congratulations to our Arbor House Captain Lenny in Level 6 who was selected this week to represent Team Victoria as part of the under 12’s Boys Basketball team. The team consisting of 10 players from across the State will represent Victoria at Nationals in Perth during Term 3. This is a tremendously high honour and a credit to the hard work and dedication Lenny has shown towards his Basketball development over the years. We wish you the best of luck at Nationals, Lenny!!

Team Victoria – Netball

Congratulations and good luck to Ollie and Levon in Level 6 who recently attended the Team Victoria try-outs for the under 12’s boys Netball team. We wish these boys the best of luck over the coming weeks!

Level 6 Camp

Our Level 6 students had such a great time at the Summit last week. It was so fantastic to see the students pushing themselves out of their comfort zone, trying new and challenging activities and completing the Tough Mudder course not once but twice! Thanks to all the staff and parents that helped to support this amazing experience for the students. They have come back to school with a new attitude towards challenges and memories that will last a life-time.
