Winter Lightning Premiership

In week 7 of this term students from Year 5/6 played in the Caulfield & District Lightning Premiership. A huge thank you to our wonderful Year 5/6 staff for the multiple roles they fulfilled on such a busy day. CSPS was represented by one Australian rules football team, two soccer teams, two T-Ball teams and four netball teams. A big thank you also goes to Stephanie Vickers for assisting us with our netball squad.

Australian Rules Football

We had a fun day. We won 3 matches out of 7. We played really well as a team. The venue was Princes Park. The best part of the day was everyone getting a good go, getting along well and improving as a team.

Netball

Everyone from CSPS had a really fun day. It was the best Lightning Premiership I have ever had. We all worked well as a team and enjoyed meeting the kids from the other schools. Our toughest opponent was Lloyd St (as per usual). Our gold team finished 3rd overall and all our teams did their best.

Soccer

I was in the grade 5 team and we all played well together. Our best match was against Carnegie and we won well. We played at Lords Reserve and I saw some of my friends from my soccer team. We only lost one match on the day and had a great time.

T-Ball

I was in the girls team and we had an awesome day. We played in 4 matches and we won 3. We scored lots of home runs and our hits improved throughout the day. We warmed up before each match and continued to practise our throwing and catching skills. Overall we had a really fun day!
