Book Week

Assembly / Dress Up Day / Parade  - Thursday 24 August - week 5

Book Week is a wonderful time to celebrate books and Australian children's authors and illustrators. Reading helps us to grow by expanding our knowledge, improving our ability to communicate, and enhancing our critical thinking skills.

As well as having a very well-resourced library with access to a range of books, our school subscribes to Storybox Library which is an educational website, created for children to view stories being read aloud by Australian authors and illustrators.

This week we are focusing on First Nations stories for NAIDOC week and students will be viewing the book ‘We are Australians’ which has also been shortlisted for the Children’s Book Council Book of the Year awards. Families are able to view this story and others at home using the following link:Storybox Library
