Principal Reflections

From the Principals - Alison & Peter

Dear Parents, Carers and Friends,

Welcome back St Edward's School for Term 3!  We trust you have enjoyed a wonderful mid-year break with your children. We look forward to continuing our work with all our beautiful children to improve our focus on student-centred learning, in a fun and safe environment.

We have made a great start to the term and have spent time in the classrooms this past few days talking to students about our expectations. Quite simply, we have high standards for all students in manners, conduct, wearing school uniform and working in class to the very best of their potential and allowing our teachers and staff to do their job - which is quality teaching.  Our three rules for living, I am safe, I am valued, respected and cared for, and I am a learner, frame the core of this work in our school. We ask for your continued support in helping us to maintain these standards across our school community by ensuring your child presents each day in their full St Edward's school uniform and that good manners are reinforced at home.

ST ED'S P & F MEETING

Our next St Ed's P & F Meeting will be held in the Primary Campus Staffroom on Tuesday 25th July at 5.30pm. Once again, we warmly welcome all parents and carers to come along and become involved in this important facet of school life, especially any of our new parents! We look forward to seeing you there.

NEW STAFF

Along with us now working together as Co-Principals, we also welcome Mrs Emily Press (Year 3), Mrs Stacy Smith (Year 6), Mrs Emily Marshall (Year 4) and Mrs Amanda Thompson (Infants) to our teaching team. We are also very fortunate to have two pre-service teachers from Notre Dame University working in Years 5 and 6.

We look forward to catching up with you all at our upcoming Grandparents' Day celebrations on Friday 28th July.

Until then,

Keep Smiling,

Alison Hatton and Peter Flynn
